Josh Johnson – 7 IP, 3 H, ER, 6:3…Typical JJ. 13 hits now given up in 34 innings. That is ridiculous.
Ubaldo Jimenez – 5 IP, H, 3 ER, 7:4…He’s coming around and once he’s shaken off the rust he’s going to be dynamite. Buy low if you can
Max Scherzer – 8 IP, 4 H, 7:3…You missed your opportunity to buy low on this SP.
John Danks – 6 IP, 9 H, 3 ER, 8:2…Another fine start from Danks, but finds himself at (0-3).
David Wright – 2/4, 3 R, 2 HR, 4 RBI, BB, SB…Wright did everything in this one as he is really starting to heat up.
James Shields – SHO, 4 H, 7:2…Yes, it was the BJays but it was on the road where Shields has not been good in his career. That makes him (2-1) with a 2.35 ERA and 0.97 WHIP.
Ben Zobrist – 2/4, R, HR, 2 RBI, SB…B2B games now with a HR as he lifted his average over .200. Good job, Benny!
Mike Morse – 3/4, R, HR, 3 RBI…A Mike and Killboy favorite, this was just his first home run of the year.
Freddy Garcia – 6 IP, 2 H, 7:2…Too bad Rivera blew this one as Garcia deserved better for this performance. Through two starts now with the Yanks, Garcia has given up just 4 hits in 12 innings and carries a 0.69 ERA and WHIP into his next start vs. TOR.
Derek Jeter – 4/6, R, RBI…”Jeetah” with a respectable line as he looks to remain in the lead-off spot.
Curtis Granderson – 3/5, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI, BB…Now with 7 homers he continues to feast on pitchers who are trying to avoid pitching to Teixeira.
Randy Wolf – 8 IP, 4 H, ER, 4:0…That makes three straight dominant performances.
Rickie Weeks – 2/4, R, HR, RBI, BB, SB…Weeks with his 5th homer as he filled up the box score.
C.J. Wilson – 7 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 10:1…Not a pretty start, but double-digit Ks are always nice. Had the Rangers faced a non-Royal line-up this would’ve been a loss. Wilson is now (3-0) as his drop in velocity isn’t causing too much damage just yet.
Adrian Beltre – 2/2, 2 R, HR, RBI, 2 BB…7 homers and 20 RBI? Guess he felt like earning his paycheck in April.
Mike Napoli – 1/3, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI, BB…Ok seriously, can the man get more at bats PUH-LEASE?!
Mike Aviles – 3/5, 2 R, 2 HR, 4 RBI, SB…At .236 he’s looking more like a bust than a “September Star”,but the 3 homers and 4 steals puts him on pace for nearly a 20/20 season.
Roy Halladay – 8.2 IP, 5 H, ER, 14:1…Awesome start for the best pitcher in the game. Must be nice to pitch against the Friars in Petco.
John Lackey – 8 IP, 6 H, 6:1…What is going on with these Sawx pitchers? Lackey has now had very nice b2b starts.
Carl Crawford – 2/4, R, HR, 2 RBI…Could this be the beginning of the ascent of Carl Crawford’s assault on the Mendoza line?
Adrian Gonzalez – 3/5, R, 2 RBI…I have a feeling I will be writing about AGonz a few times a week very, very soon.
Jonathan Sanchez – 5 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 5:3…NL Gio with a typical start.
Brandon Beachy – 6 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 7:0…Beachy now showing much better control in his past two starts. He will get bombed here and there, but the potential is legit.
Jason Heyward – 3/5, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI…7 hits in the past 3 games as he’s batting .310 out of the two-hole.
Chipper Jones – 2/3, R, 2 RBI, 2 BB…Still kicking.
Brett Anderson – 7 IP, 5 H, ER, 6:1…Healthy 2011 = 2012 Ace.
Coco Crisp – 3/5, 3 R, SB…If Crisp can do this more often for the A’s, I think they will surprise in the AL West.
Yadier Molina – 2/4, R, HR, 3 RBI…Molina propelled the Cards to a 3-0 win on Sunday Night Baseball, helping…
Jake Westbrook – 6 IP, 3 H, 4:3…in the process. Westbrook shut down a pretty darn good Reds team but he is too up-and-down for my taste.
