4th and Home Player of the Day: Jason Giambi– 3/5, 3 R, 3 HR, 7 RBI…So he juiced before the game I assume?

The Bats:
Jay Bruce
– 3/4, 2 R, 2 HR, 2 RBI…Bruce is starting to heat up as he’s now batting .333 for the past week.

Justin Morneau – 3/5, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI…Morneau with a nice night to help his disappointing season.

Trevor Plouffe – 1/5, R, HR, 3 RBI…Ok, ok. It’s about time I talk about the Rook. Through nine games he’s batting .286 with 2 HR and 8 RBI.

Howie Kendrick – 3/4, R, HR, RBI…Been quiet lately, but now hitting .322 with 7 HR and 18 RBI.

Allen Craig – 3/4, 2 R, HR, RBI…Holliday-esque in his start!

Chris Davis – 1/4, R, HR, RBI…Home run no. 3! Bill James says: “47 to go.”

Carlos Quentin – 2/2, R, HR, 2 RBI…Quentin is batting .253 with 9 HR and 26 RBI. As expected.

The Arms:
James McDonald
– 6.2 IP, 7 H, ER, 4:1…Make it four of his last five starts!

Dillon Gee – 7.2 IP, 2, 0 ER, 3:3…Gee flirted with a no-no for a bit. He’s actually pitched pretty well in his brief career: 2.82 ERA and 1.24 WHIP through 10 starts.

Livan Hernandez – 7 IP, 7 H, ER, 7:2…It was the Mets, but a very nice start nonetheless.

Dan Haren – 8 IP, 3 H, ER, 5:4…Your No. 1 Fantasy Pitcher folks…now winless in his last 6 starts.

Doug Fister – 8 IP, 6 H, ER, 2:2…Fist-to-fist with Haren as he also earned himself a ND.

Kyle McClellan – 8 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 5:0…Now (6-1) with a mid-3 ERA. Yeah, you’ve heard my rant about him many times by now.

C.C. Sabathia – 8 IP, 7 H, 0 ER, 9:0…WHIP still a little high, but the ERA continue to fall.

Jhoulys Chacin – 7 IP, 4 H, ER, 9:1…Chacin has been a bargain for owners, but most people figured he’d have a nice season.

Ricky Romero – 7 IP, 3 H, ER, 6:2…Romero brought his stuff in this one. He’s now (4-4) with a 3.10 ERA and 1.14 WHIP.

Josh Collmenter – 6 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 1:0…Flourishing as a starter for the DBacks (through two games).

Aaron Harang – 8 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 4:2…Nice home splits.

Chris Narveson – 7.1 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 4:1…Brewers’ pitching is loving Petco…
