Last 7 games: .433 Avg, 5 R, 0 HR, 7 RBI, 0 SB
Of course, I say don’t expect the average but love the power so he hits for a better average and has no pop. Seriously though, buy this guy if you have the chance.
Last 7 games: .333 Avg, 6 R, 5 HR, 8 RBI, 1 SB
Eventually you have to get on board when someone is performing at this level.
Last 3 games: 2-1, 1.96 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, 29 K
As I mentioned last week, Shields has never pitched to a sub 3.50 era or 1.10 WHIP. I do see this as continuing to be a great bounce back year for him, but not at the pace he’s currently on. His value will probably never be higher.
Last 7 games: .048 Avg, 1 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 0 SB
Like I said, all or nothing. At least now he has 1 home run in his last 7, but the average is like an anchor around his fantasy owners necks. Cut him loose unless he starts making more contact.
Last 7 games: .043 Avg, 1 R, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 SB
His owners are no longer rejoicing in the hit streak talk. If you can buy him cheap, this may be a great time to get a value. You can expect this career .290’s hitter to get back on track sooner than later.
Last 3 games: 0-2, 6.27 ERA, 1.77 WHIP, 16 K
Thought I would go Vin Mazzaro here? I would have, but hopefully he wasn’t on many rosters. Myers got some sleeper hype coming into the season and isn’t performing. His peripherals all skew high versus his career numbers so you can expect some improvement. If you can get him cheap enough it may be worthwhile.
