I was off on Friday hanging out with some rednecks and Deliverance-esque folks. Quite the time!
Onto it…
4th and Home Player of the Day: Evan Longoria – 4/6, 3 R, 2 HR, 5 RBI…She is SO hot.
The Bats:
Jhonny Peralta – 3/4, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI…Guy has been a find for managers this year.
Jimmy Rollins – 4/4, 2 R…He wants to push towards .300, but the means keep him around .260.
Nick Markakis – 3/5, 2 RBI, SB…Keep this up so I can trade you, ya bum.
Brandon Phillips – 2/4, 2 R, HR, RBI…Must be lovely to hit in front of Votto.
Jeff Keppinger – 3/3, 3 R, HR, 2 RBI…This guy is still playing? Wasn’t he in the same rookie class with Dickie Thon?
Johnny Damon – 4/6, 3 R…His job is safe, but Desmond Jennings is coming…
B.J. Upton – 2/5, 2 R, HR, 4 RBI…Three straight with a dinger, but his average keeps me from EVER drafting him.
Ben Zobrist – 3/5, 4 R, RBI…Keeping right field warm. See above.
Ty Wigginton – 3/4, 2 R, hH, 2 RBI…STILL getting Wiggy wit it.
Geovany Soto – 3/3, R, HR, 2 RBI…One day we’ll see a full season of his potential. Just don’t hold your breath waiting.
Jose Reyes – 4/5, 3 R, RBI, SB…Reyes continue to flourish as he’s auditioning for a giant contract (and new team).
The Arms:
Cory Luebke – 5/1/0/6:2…Didn’t disappoint in his first start of 2011. Keep an eye on him.
Tim Hudson – 6/6/0/8:3…Where are these Ks comin’ from?
Joe Saunders – 7/4/1/8:1…Perfect start – only to have his pen blow it. “You blew it!”
Roy Halladay – CG/8/1/4:0…Yet another CG to stay one back of James Shields.
James McDonald – 6/5/0/5:2…Nice start against the Sawx.
Livan Hernandez – 6.2/8/1/9:2…Davey Johnson’s new El Sid!
Ricky Romero – 4-hit SHO/5:2…2 legit 2 Quit.
Clayton Kershaw – CG/6/2/11:0…B2B starts with 11K. He has been red hot.
Madison Bumgarner – 7/6/1/11:1…Quite the bounceback game after getting shellacked earlier in the week.
