Light number of games last night. Let’s get into it.
4th and Home Player of the Day: Matt Kemp – 4/5, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI…22/21 through 80 games. Love me some Kemp!
The Bats:
Aramis Ramirez – 3/4, 3 R, 2 HR, 3 RBI…Heating up with the weather as usual!
Carlos Pena – 2/4, 2 R, 2 HR, 3 RBI…Batting .226 now. He’s on fire!
Carlos Gonzalez – 2/4, 2 R, 2 HR, 2 RBI…Batting 3rd he would’ve had more RBI.
Brandon Phillips – 4/5, 2 R, 2 RBI…Feasting on AL East pitching.
Tony Gwynn, Jr. – 4/6, 2 R, RBI, 2 SB…Dad-esque!
Trent Oeltjen – 4/4, 3 R, HR, 2 RBI…Aussie Aussi Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi!
Lonnie Chisenhall – 2/4, RBI…Not a bad debut. Let’s see if he plays against lefties.
Asdrubal Cabrera – 2/4, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI…No. 13 – and counting. Roids!
Brian McCann – 3/4, 2 R, HR, RBI…Has an outside shot of .300-30-90. Seriously!
The Arms:
Max Scherzer – 7/6/2/9:1…Strange season from Scherzer as he’s not yet lived up to his ADP.
Mike Leake – 6/4/0/3:2…Yet another great start since being placed back into the rotation.
Chad Billingsley – 6/4/0/4:2…If I told you 15 runs and 29 hits were in this game, how many of those would you have thought Billingsley gave up?
Brandon Beachy – 6/3/1/9:1…Life’s beachy for owners who nabbed him.

Be sure to keep a look out for my May recaps of the “September Star” series. No, I haven’t forgotten…hell, why not just wait for June recaps now.
