Proof where I was…first timer!

4th and Home Player of the Day: Jacoby Ellsbury – 2/4, 2 R, 2 HR, 2 RBI…Career year as he slipped in drafts when jerks like me were telling you to pass.
The Bats:
Jay Bruce – 2/2, R, SB…Another hot month and he’ll finish the year with 35 bombs and double-digit steals. Might’ve been your last year to get him cheap.
Jayson Werth – 3/5, R, HR, 2 RBI…Will you be happy with a .220/20/60 final line? No? Well that’s what you’re getting.
Jimmy Rollins – 3/5, 4 R, 2 HR, 3 RBI…Facing Dempster on a bad Dempster day is like Christmas in July.
Hideki Matsui – 3/4, R, HR, 3 RBI…A Werth-like .220/15/75 for a tenth of the price.
Adam Lind – 2/4, R, HR, 2 RBI…The most quiet .300/30/100 campaign in a non-steroid era eva.
Travis Snider – 2/54, R, HR, 5 RBI…Bench him after the 0/6 and he does this. Thanks. Anyway, Snider is pulling a ’09 Lind right now.
Edwin Encarnacion – 3/5, 4 R, HR, RBI, 2 SB…Still won’t save him once thug-Lawrie gets the call.
Angel Pagan – 1/5, 2 R, HR, RBI…Walk off!
The Arms:
Johnny Cueto – 6/4/1/4:2…Say hello to my lil Cueto! Cueto now owns a stellar 1.98/1.00 through 14 starts/95.2 innings. The 56/30 ratio isn’t great.
Vance Worley – 8/4/1/7:2…The Jesse jinx was on as he emailed me after every Worley pitch during his no-no.
Clayton Kershaw – 8/3/0/12:1…Bob Gibson wasn’t beating Kershaw on this day.
Tim Lincecum – 7/5/1/7:4…One splash hit = one loss.
Brandon Morrow – 7/7/3/7:3…117 K in 101.2 innings.
Freddy Garcia – 6.2/8/0/7:0…Must’ve found what Ponce de Leon couldn’t.
John Danks – 7/5/0/6:0…Nice return from the DL – on my bench!
