Some hot prospects going yard? Lack of pitching gems? Tell me more!
4th and Home Player of the Day: Jason Kipnis – 5/5, 4 R, HR, 3 RBI…I keep debating picking this guy up, because he will go cold once I do. Would like to see him walk more.
The Bats:
Juan Rivera – 3/4, 2 R, HR, 4 RBI…He’s actually been pretty decent for the Dodgers.
Matt Kemp – 4/5, 2 R, RBI, SB…4 HR to reach 30/30 status – you heard it pre-season from me on The 4th and Home Show.
Ryan Howard – 2/3, 3 R, HR, 2 RBI…Capped the comeback with a longball.
Andrew McCutchen – 1/1, 4 R, HR, 2 RBI, 2 SB…Now this was a BSFU by Cutch.
Ryan Ludwick – 3/4, 2 R, RBI…Batting .303 as a Pirate.
Curtis Granderson – 2/3, 3 R, 2 HR, 4 RBI…Out of this world.
Robinson Cano – 3/4, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI…Heating up, like Jesse talked about.
Logan Morrison – 2/4, R, HR, RBI, SB…LoMo with the BSFU. Nice!
Dan Uggla – 3/5, 2 RBI…The streak stays alive!
J.J. Hardy – 4/5, R, HR, RBI…No. 21 from the two-hole!
Will Venable – 4/5, 3 R, RBI…Batting .322 since his recall. Time to grab him if you need speed.
Brett Lawrire – 2/4, 2 R, HR, 4 RBI…Salami!
Melky Cabrera – 2/3, R, HR, 5 RBI…Not traded – still hitting. I like Melky heading into the playoffs too.
Mike Carp – 2/4, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI…You could do worse.
The Arms:
Jeff Karstens – 6/8/2/9:0…Got torched when I saw him. I’ll let you know the next Bucs game I go to where he pitches, so you know to bench him.
Tim Hudson – 7.1/6/2/7:1…Guy disappears for awhile and then reappears as his former A’s self. Love him heading into the playoffs.
