The pitchers’ turn to rule the BSB. And our POD is….
4th and Home Player of the Day: Cameron Maybin – 2/4, 2 R, HR, RBI, 2 SB…BSFU! Could be a .280/10/35 player this year. Room to grow. I changed my mind.
Hideki Matsui – 4/6, 2 R, 2 RBI…Still pounding the ball.
Robinson Cano – 3/4, R, HR, 4 RBI…Salami!
Albert Pujols – 4/4, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI…Will still finish with a 35/100 line.
Jose Altuve – 3/5, 2 R, RBI, SB…Have not written about him, but he’s been a’ight.
Cory Luebke – 5/3/2/8:4…3.09 ERA and a 0.99 WHIP even after last week’s clubbing by the Dodgers.
Jon Niese – 7.2/7/2/7:2…Now the 6th time he’s given up 3 or fewer runs and lost. Shame.
Johnny Cueto – 7/3/0/9:2…Stinker last time out, but another gem tonight. I’d be weary rolling him out there come playoff time.
Jhoulys Chacin – CG/6/2/9:3…A loss, but a real good start. I think next year he blows up – meaning, he’ll do even better.
Guillermo Moscoso – 6/3/1/6:2…I feel SD or OAK could throw anyone out there and succeed.
Ryan Dempster – 7/3/1/6:2…Remember how bad he was to start out the year? Well, his numbers still don’t look too great.
Jordan Zimmerman – 6.2/9/4/7:2…Going to be shut down soon, so trade him NOW.
Justin Verlander – 7/3/3/10:3…Not many mistakes, which is why he’s numero uno.
Coming soon…the July Review of my September Stars Series.
